Summary

30-1

Kumoko begins breaking down the Fire Dragon's corpse. As she does so she reviews her skills and decides to complete her triple evil eye combo by purchasing [Heavy Evil Eye] Level 1, which increases the effects of gravity. Deciding this could be beneficial for building muscle mass, Kumoko uses it on herself as she works, much to Body Brain's chagrin.

As she works, Kumoko senses a spatial anomaly and realises someone is teleporting to her location. Looking across she sees a man in black armour appear. She tries to appraise him but it just states he cannot be appraised and immediately realises that the man is far more powerful than Earth Dragon Araba and Mother. The man tries to talk to her but Kumoko doesn't speak the other world's language.

Suddenly a smart phone materialises out of thin air and the man picks it up. A woman's voice speaks to him briefly and he then tosses the phone towards Kumoko and leaves. The woman then addresses Kumoko, speaking to her while directly reading Kumoko's mind, and introduces herself as D.

Kumoko immediately recognises the name and realises that this is the same Administrator D that made [Wisdom] for her. D tells her it was a reward for working so hard and admits to watching Kumoko for her own amusement, being an evil god and all. Kumoko finds herself believing D's claims and asks if this world was made for her amusement. D corrects Kumoko stating that in that world, she is an outsider but refuses to elaborate as it wouldn't be as fun. D ends the call there with 'until next time—', ending Kumoko's first encounters with the pair.

As she eats the Dragon, Kumoko considers what she has learned, predicting there will be a next time, and deduces that from the phone to the accent, Administrator D is related to Japan and connected with both worlds and may know why she was reincarnated.

Her meal finished, Kumoko resumes her journey with her guard higher than ever with the realisiation there is always someone stronger than you, and even stronger than them. But she decides there is nothing she can do about it so there is no point worrying. Kumoko decides to train her skills and goes back to checking them, noticing she now has [Dragon Power]. Plus as she had to be careful of abilities using SP due to monsters fleeing her, Kumoko focused on MP based skills, maxing out and evolving several magic and Evil Eye skills.

Kumoko continues her journey until she finally reaches a tunnel leading back to the Upper Stratum.
