Ede Saine is a sub-species of Taratect feared as a symbol of death that specializes in stealth and Rot Attacks. It is characterized by its black body, except for a white skull pattern on its back, and its two scythe-like front-legs.[1]

Monster File[]

A spider-type monster feared as an omen of death. It's said that the moment you encounter this terrifying creature, your fate is sealed. Because there are so few living witnesses, it is difficult to assess its precise danger level. It is estimated to be at least level B.[2]

Trivia[]

  • Normal Zoa Ele and Ede Saine do not have the skill Rot Resistance. As such, using the Rot Attack skill would usually kill both the target and the user. Kumoko's Rot Resistance was gained from Foul Feeder and further increased by eating an Elroe Gastruch of the Lower Stratum of the Great Elroe Labyrinth, and allowed her to not instantly die when using the attack.[3][4]
  • Kumoko apparently loses the Dark Resistance skill she had as a Zoa Ele,[5] only to regain it later as a Zana Horowa.[6] This error is also present in the Japanese version.
